Hither go we, the Serpents Three,
One by two or side by side,
O'er the shoals and the shifting roads,
Two by one, we willy ride.
With the wind and the waterfall,
Willy nilly, we roadbull on.
Claw by claw and toe by toe,
We go where Horse nor man shall go.
We go where dame nor dog do go,
And haunt the lanes and harrow the fields;
in the streams and in the hills;
We wait for you, we watch for you.
We warn with a word and we taunt with two.
We strike for the heart and we cow with a kiss;
We'll catch you out at the end of this,
by air or sea,
We Serpents Three,
go riding, willy, riding.
